Eric has been a consistent and quiet leader on the boys varsity bowling team. He has also medaled consistently throughout the season. Recently he finished 2nd in conference and 1st in sectionals. He is on the high honor roll and has been accepted at St. Ambrose University to study Finance and bowl for the men's bowling team.

Mike is a sophomore on the Boys varsity bowling team. Currently he is averaging 207 with a high game of 279 and high series of 731, Mike has medaled individually in his last three tournaments. He is a great team player and has been a consistent player his first two years on varsity.

Evan  Mitchell

Evan is a four year varsity athlete in boys cross country. A short list of his awards and accolades for Cross Country includes: 3 time all-conference and 2x conference champion, a 2x regional champion, 3 time state qualifier, and a 2 time All-State runner. Evan finished 16th this year in 3A to achieve All-State honors while finishing 15th last year in 2A. Evan has committed to attend Bradley University to run cross country and track.

Maddy leads the conference in overall scoring as a freshman! In 13 duals this season, Maddy has been the low scorer 11 times. She has helped lead her team to a 10-3 record this season. Maddy is also the #1 overall seed at our SPC Conference Tournament on 9/29/16.

Lockport Township High School Senior Defensive End Josh Baker is our nominee. Josh was instrumental in our first two victories over Downers Grove North and South Elgin. Below are his dominate defensive statistics in each game: DGN: 7 Solo tackles, 3 assisted tackles, 1 tackle for loss, 3 Sacks, a blocked field goal and a pass deflection. South Elgin: 7 solo tackles, 3 assisted tackles, 1 tackle for loss.

John Meyer

John won the IHSA State Championship in the shot at the state meet the last weekend of May and he has the 5th best throw for someone his age in the US this year. He will be competing in the USA Qualifiers this summer. IHSA Class 3A Shot Put State Champion- 61’2” Undefeated outdoor track season in the shot put Personal best of 63’0” which is the 23rd best high school throw in the USA and the #2 throw for a sophomore in the USA Broke the LTHS school record by nearly 4 feet

Fellows a Vanderbilt commitment, hit .424 with 26 RBI to lead the Hilltoppers baseball team this spring. Known for his powerful right arm, Fellows went 8-1 on the mound for the Hilltoppers with a miniscule 1.00 ERA, stricking out 93 batters in 56 innings pitched.

Jacob  Carlson

Jacob is a four year varsity boys water polo player. He is second in IHSA Boys Water Polo history with 405 career goals, and in season goals with 164 this year. Jacob is in the top 15 in his class, an Illinois State Scholar, AP Scholar, Illinois State Scholar, and a member of the National Honor Society. He will attend the University of Illinois and major in Engineering.

Jalen Jackson

Jalen Jackson was named the ESCC Conference Player of the Year, leading the Hilltoppers to a 21-6 record overall, the most wins in 35 years at the school. Jackson averaged 18.7 points per game on the year. The four year starter helped lead the turnaround for JCA basketball, winning a Regional Championship in 2014.

Nicole Ekhomu

Nicole was recently named the Daily Southtown and Joliet Herald News Girls Basketball Player of the Year, and IHSA Class 3A First Team All-State. Ekhomu was also named a finalist for the McDonald’s All-American Game, a candidate for Gatorade Illinois Girls Basketball Player of the Year, and Honorable Mention 2016 Women’s Basketball Coaches Association All-American H.S. Team. She averaged 22 points, 6.1 rebounds, 4.9 assists, and 3.1 steals for a 17-9 Angels squad that won the Class 3A Providence Regional Championship.

Mia Tomich

Mia recently led the Angels Dance Team to semi-final finishes at UDA Nationals in Orland, Florida in both the Lyrical and Hip-Hop Dance categories. The run at Nationals completed a successful year for the dance program, which received a Leadership Award, a Technique Award, and also 1st Place for Poms this summer in Peoria, IL at their Varsity Spirit/UDA Summer Camp. Tomich will attend the University of Iowa next fall, where she hopes to be member of the Hawkeyes Dance Team.

Before the season started he was involved in a major accident where he almost lost his arm and potentially not swimming this season to having one of the best seasons of his high school career.

This season Gabe has led the area rushing for 2028 yds. on 284 carries, averaging 7.1 yards per rush. He has scored 33 touchdowns while also catching 15 passes for 130 yds. Gabe has led the Warrior football team to their first appearance in the IHSA State Football Semifinals.

Katie Davis

Katie Davis (45 aces, 101 kills, 45 blocks, 418 assists, 196 digs) All-Tournament: Joliet Central Invite, Oak Lawn Invite, LWC Invite, Rich East Invite, TEAM MVP, All-Conference SWSC Katie is a true leader. She was a three-year starting varsity setter. Katie led by example and pushed players around her to constantly improve their game. She ran a 5-1 and still tallied 101 kills as she continued to be an offensive threat at the net. This season she broke the record for assists.

Johnson has rushed for 553 yards on 61 carries so far this year, good for 9.1 yards a carry. In a 38-35 thrilling victory over Nazareth on October 9th, the sophomore wingback rushed 16 times for 204 yards and four touchdowns.
